Call for Proposal 2027

The ISSAID Steering Committee invites members to submit a proposal to host the 2027 ISSAID Meeting.

Any member interested in hosting the 2027 congress should submit a formal proposal to the Steering Committee no later than 31 January 2025.

Your proposal should contain the following documents:

• Letter of expression of interest
• Designation of the local host who will act as the congress president and will be in charge of co-developing the scientific programme
• Completed questionnaire (Excel document)
• Any relevant information regarding the destination

MCI Suisse SA is the official professional congress organiser (PCO) appointed by ISSAID to organise the 2027 Meeting and will be responsible for contracting the venue, pre-booking hotel rooms, managing the meeting finances, managing registrations, sponsorship and exhibition logistics, speakers’ logistics, abstract handling, etc.

The local host will be responsible for: co-developing the scientific programme with the ISSAID Scientific Chair appointed by the Steering Committee, organising the opening ceremony, appointing abstract reviewers and reviewing submitted abstracts, raising funds from local and regional sponsors, proposing venues and entertainment for the speaker’s dinner, the ISSAID networking dinner and the ISSAID opening ceremony.

The local host may seek help from the convention bureau or the proposed venue to build the proposal.

Any proposal received from convention bureaus, destination management companies or PCOs with no involvement of a scientific local host will be rejected. If not already a member of ISSAID, the local host will be required to subscribe to the ISSAID membership.

All proposals will be reviewed by MCI Suisse SA and the steering committee between 1 February and 31 March 2025.
Depending on the number of proposals received, the Steering Committee may draw-up a shortlist of three hosts /
destinations for further discussion.

The final selection of the local host / destination will be made and announced to the ISSAID community at the ISSAID 2025 Meeting in Paris.
