Winter School 2022

The International Society for Systemic Auto Inflammatory Diseases (ISSAID) organizes its second Winter School which will be held virtually from 30 November to 2 December 2022.

Dear Colleagues,

We are pleased to invite you to attend the 2nd Winter School of the International Society of Systemic Autoinflammatory Disease (ISSAID).

This interactive programme is primarily aimed at junior physicians, residents and fellows. During 3 days, you will learn from expert physician-scientists on the recognition, pathophysiology and management of the spectrum of systemic autoinflammatory diseases (SAID) including Beçhet disease, interferonopathies, IL-1 mediated diseases etc.

You will gain knowledge on the diagnosis, treatment and management of systemic autoinflammatory diseases, using a combination of lectures and case-based discussions. The objective of the Winter School is to support residents in their training and eventual improve the care of patients with SAID.

The objective of the course is to focus on pathogenesis, genetics, and clinical management of systemic auto-inflammatory diseases with 3 aims:

  1. Obtain the knowledge to diagnose, treat, manage and follow up patients with systemic autoinflammatory diseases.
  2. Learn the pathophysiology underlying these disease.
  3. Gain the necessary knowledge and mentorship to improve the care of autoinflammatory patients at your home centers, and lead to improved outcomes for patients.

The number of attendees is limited. Only physicians who are working in this field, and younger than 40, are invited.
